To all players and parents
I hope you all have had a relaxing summer break and are now ready to get back on the court 🙂 A new season is about to begin so we would like to inform you all about what´s to come and what´s needed.
REGISTRATION FOR JUNIOR TENNIS SCHOOL
All players that have been in our tennis school last season will automatically be registered for this coming season. I will therefore need to know if any players will NOT be continuing with us. Please send a reply to this email asap to inform me.
I will also need players school time plans in order to set up new times/days of play if schooling hours have changed.
PLANNING WEEK 34
Mon 21 Aug – Fri 25 Aug will be an open play week for all our tennis school players. This means that players are encouraged to come to the club during the week for a little tennis kick off. There will not be any organized coaching but coaches will be at the club to supervise activities and play. So, it will be actually organized, but OFFICIAL COACHING WILL START WEEK 35.
All players who are coached on Sunday are welcome to join in during the week as there will be no tennis on Sunday 27th.
The following will apply for when players can come:
- 14:00 – 15:00 All our red players (6-8 years old)
- 15:00-17:00 All our orange players (9-11 years old)
- 17:00-19:00 All our green and yellow players (12-18 years old)
This means that players can join in everyday in WEEK 34 if they like (Monday-Friday), but in their correct groupings 🙂
WAITING LIST JUNIOR PLAYERS
I will contact you personally either by email or by phone to discuss availabilities for your kids. This will also be done during week 34. I have received and read all emails so we will be in contact if you have sent me an email.
It is also possible for your kids to join in the open play week 34 🙂 I however ask you to send me an sms to 904 77 627 if this could be of interest and I will call you back.
COACHES
Both Ignas Mazgelis and myself, Lance Morgas, will be available to contact by phone from 11:00 (mon-fri) week 34 with any questions you might have 🙂 Or just send us an email.

REGISTRATION FOR ADULTS TENNIS SCHOOL
All players that have been in our tennis school last season will be automatically registered for this coming season. Same time and day will also apply. I will therefore need to know if any players will not be continuing with us. Please send a reply to this email asap to inform me.
Please also let me know if your existing day and time do not suit you anymore.
PLANNING WEEK 34
Mon 21 Aug – Fri 25 Aug will be an open play week for all our tennis school players. This means that players are encouraged to come to the club during the week for a little tennis kick off. There will not be any organized coaching but coaches will be at the club to supervise and courts will be booked for you. This will also give us coaches a chance to have a chat with you about your tennis. OFFICIAL COACHING WILL START WEEK 35. All players who are coached on Saturday are welcome to join in during the week as there will be no tennis on Saturday 26th due to Club Championships.
We will have at least 2 courts booked per hour for the following times:
- Mon – Thurs: 18:00-20:00
- Fri: 17:00-19:00
So, come on down to the club any of these days and on more than 1 day if you like, to give your tennis a boost to start the season, as well as maybe meet your next hitting partner 🙂
WAITING LIST PLAYERS
I will contact you personally either by email or by phone to discuss availabilities once we have heard back from all existing players. This will also be done during WEEK 34. I have received and read all emails so we will be in contact if you have sent me an email. Apologize for the lengthy wait for our reply and do hope that you all are still motivated and ready to start courses.

COACHES

Ivan will not be continuing at Grefsen, so I would like to also inform you about our new coaches we have already in place 🙂
Johannes Klemp and Anders Bakken Bentsen will be taking over from the start of the new season (WEEK 35). They will be working at GTK on a rotation schedule which means that you will be coached by both of them. Both play at a high level and have helped out in our tennis school for a while now. We look forward to having them take responsibility for our adult program.
So, dust your rackets off (if you haven’t played during the summer), get your tennis equipment ready because we at GTK are ready to welcome you back on court 🙂
